mailcrypt exposes passwords

In GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (i386--netbsd, X toolkit)
 of Thu Jan  4 2001 on capsicum.wsrcc.com
configured using `configure  --with-pop --with-ipv6 --host=i386--netbsd 
--prefix=/usr/pkg'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Use mailcrypt to read encrypted gpg mail.  Then look at the
help-lossage buffer C-H C-L and notice your password revealed.  Nice.
Perhaps emacs needs to develope a dont-record-this switch.
