Often when using the Help facility we see

        Defined in `some_emacs_lisp_file'.

Ok, we click on "some_emacs_lisp_file" and it brings it up in read-write
mode... well that's ok for you experts who modify your emacs source
code just as often as you refer to it, but for the average user I'd
say have "View mode" be the default for such a click...

OK, your most basic user will never see my problem because he 1. is
never root. 2. he has no personal $HOME/.emacs_files/*.el

Otherwise, I don't want it to be so easy for me to mess up emacs from
just poking around Help.

OK, consider other parts of the Help system: a simple 'q' can waft
them away... so just view viewing of the *.el's as an extention of
that paradigm here, bla bla...
