global-auto-revert-mode and VC modeline: no CVS rev. update

Subject: global-auto-revert-mode and VC modeline: no CVS rev. update

I use GNU Emacs 20.7.2 (i386-slackware-linux-gnu, X toolkit). I use VC
mode to edit my CVS controlled files. Sometimes I want to do a multifile
commit from command line, using 'cvs commit' and emacsclient as my
CVSEDITOR. When I want to edit just commited file, for files containing
$Id: $ (or any other RCS keyword), Emacs notify me that file has changed
and asks if I want to revert buffer from file.

I wanted to get rid of it, and used M-x global-auto-revert-mode. It
reverts buffer from file after commit, but _does not_ update CVS revision
info in the mode line. That's strange, because M-x revert-buffer does that
(and refontifies buffer as well).

I don't know which package: autorevert or vc/vc-hooks should be
responsible for a proper update of modeline, so I sent copy of this
message to the maintainers of both packages.

I would be grateful for sending the reply also to my priv e-mail address
(mailto:jnareb@fuw.edu.pl), as I am not subscribed to bug-gnu-emacs list.
