I found version 2.75; is that the latest?  At least it didn't help.
As a matter of fact, I'm seeing an additional problem related to
Japanese characters with it, although I think that is actually
caused by PCL-CVS.  I also note that an unrelated bug that I've
reported before (and to which Kifer responded, IIRC) isn't fixed in
2.75.  I'll forward my report to Michael Kifer in the hope that
these issues could be resolved for Emacs 21 (I hope it isn't too
late already).
