I like the way find-alternate-file prompts with the current buffer's
file name, knowing that you maybe mistyped etc. and probably want a
similarly named filename.
I think dired-do-rename should/could also prompt with the current
filename, as often we just want to make minor adjustments, or at
least put it on the ESC P list.
The M$ directory explorer user has this convenience already.
