Leave fakemail.exe renamed. If the problem happens again, please try
getting the backtrace as I suggested, and report it here.
Btw, did you make sure you don't have any additional fakemail.exe's lying
around? Perhaps Emacs still finds something? E.g., what does "M-!
fakemail RET" print?
