Thank you for your report.

The files README and INSTALL don't cover the intricacies of building
Emacs out of CVS sandbox.  I don't think we want to confuse users with
the many subtle details this involves for the moment.  IMHO, anon CVS
access is new with Emacs, and it will take time until it is in good
enough shape to recommend it to users.  For now, it's for people who
know what they are doing.

Please note that reports about versions of Emacs built from
development sources should be sent to emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org, not
to this forum.  (If you use M-x report-emacs-bug, Emacs will do that
automatically for you.)
