Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

The new variable `ring-bell-function' is not refered to in the
variable documentation of `visible-bell'.  It would be nice to know
about the effect of setting one or the other by reading the variable
doc.  Especially as the `ring-bell-function' is not documented in the
emacs info pages.
