Losing one's job in times where one is not likely to find another one
just to please free software authors is a bit much to ask.

You are not going to convince anybody if the free software they get to
see on their accustomed platforms is malfunctioning when the software
they are used to isn't.

Putting the blame wherever you want and where it may be deserved may
seem convenient, but it does not replace fixing the problems.
