OK, do emacs -q
M-x customize
left click on the first "state" button, the one above the words
"Customization of the One True Editor."

RMS> What text do you find hard to read, and why?

notice the 5 choices it gives you, all purposely in the "hard to read
font", because they are invalid choices at this time.

Anyways, "looks hard to read here", "might not look hard to read with
your nicer system".

Points:
1. I know they are invalid choices, but would mom? in this unlucky
case that they are all invalid, the user might not know that and think
that something is misconfigured or that they need glasses. Ok more
importantly:

2. yes, they are invalid choices, but, mmm, making them so hard to
read makes me feel like someone's hiding something from me, or just
giving me 1/2 the picture, you know, like that feeling when "you can
have the .exe file but not the .c file ["closed source"].

oh, look "feelings" in the Subject, and in the last paragraph. I must
be a black belt in message generation by now.

RMS> I can't guess such things. If you don't say them,

Are you sure?
You are wrong: I am able to say such things and still generate
useless bug reports. You have doubted my ability to generate useless
bug reports. Stand back...
