We don't support Clearcase because it is non-free software.  It is a
bad thing, ethically, to use a non-free program, so in some sense
you're being punished for your sins.

I suggest switching to CVS, which is free software.  I've heard that
another free version control system, subversion, is coming along too.
You CAN have freedom, you just have to decide it is important enough.
