still a lot of minibuffer activity unretrievable

I notice there's still a lot of minibuffer activity that cannot be
found in the Messages buffer or anywhere else after it disappears
from the minibuffer.

How about a few new buffers: *Last Minibuffer*, *Last Minibuffer-2*
[maybe even have a leading space attached to name] that would
unconditionally keep the last prompt and answer, a few commands deep
ago, just in case, say, I wanted to show you what I just saw...
