snarf more than one item from different X window into kill ring

By the way, while you're at it, even for the case of regular [non -nw]
emacs, please consider the case where I want to swipe more than one
item from another window before finally switching to the emacs window
to paste them in.

Even if I do
$ echo aaa|xclip
$ echo bbb|xclip
only the last one is known by emacs... I wish both would be on the
kill ring.  In case you haven't gotten xclip yet, what I'm talking
about is the same [?] as:

I highlight a region using the mouse, say in rxvt or nutscrape, then I
highlight a second different region.  OK, now I'm ready to switch to
my emacs window [and wait till it pages in from swap :-( ], sure hope
my two items are ready on the kill ring --- or "is it your intention,
like my mother once had, to send me back to the store again and again,
once for each item, just because you thought I needed the exercise?" 

P.S. It feels neat that all these kill rings are interconnected.
