bug with highlighting and flyspell

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I've found a bug in flyspell whereby it can leave just part of a word
highlighted.

* Open a text buffer and run M-x flyspell
* Type this:

    right now it seemsl ik

* Then C-u C-b C-f C-t

* Then C-e M-b M-b C-e

* Now type e SPC

* In my buffer, the `ik' in `like' is red

I think this is a bug.  `like' is spelled correctly.  None of it
should be highlighted.
