Solaris 9, emacs 21.2

When trying to compile emacs 21.2 on Solaris 9 Sparc I get
include file problems from Xos.h

I.E. gcc -c -I/usr/openwin/share/include/X11 -I/usr/dt/include -g -O2
-DEMACS_BITMAP_FILES -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -Demacs -I. -I../src
-I/ra0/src/emacs-21.2/lwlib -I/ra0/src/emacs-21.2/lwlib/../src xlwmenu.c
In file included from
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.9/3.2/include/X11/Xos.h:88,
                 from xlwmenu.c:32:
/usr/include/strings.h:25: conflicting types for `memmove'
/usr/include/iso/string_iso.h:62: previous declaration of `memmove'
/usr/include/strings.h:26: parse error before numeric constant
make[2]: *** [xlwmenu.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/ra0/src/emacs-21.2/lwlib'

If I go in and comment out the Xos.h stuff, it builds ok, but
gives random coredumps... sigh.

I realize that Solaris 9 hasn't been out very long, but I really
need to get emacs built and running for my users. I can build
it without X ok, but thats not acceptable to my user community.

It does not matter if I use the SunX stuff in /usr/openwin, or
the X11R6.6 stuff that I built on the system.

I have been beating my head on this for over a week, and just don't know
what to try next.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Regards,

Lee Caldwell
