unable to build 21.2 for solaris 9

I have encountered a problem building emacs 21.2 on my ultra-60 running 
solaris 9.  My gcc is 3.2.1 and the error I get has to do with 
conflicting types from libraries (most likely a library path problem). 
I have attached the listings of messages for the configure as well as 
the make command and I have also attached my PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH 
variable values.  The following lines are the apparent offenders:
