Subject: no bookmark for buffers not associated with files

This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English, because the Emacs maintainers do not have
translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I like the emacs bookmark system. Most of the times I use it for one
session of emacs. When one sets bookmarks, it seems the position is saved
for future sessions. However, sometimes I want to use C-x r m in some
buffers not associated with files, like *scratch*. Why not just set the
bookmark (that works with C-x r b), and since there is no file associated,
just do not save for future session, instead of just give the error
message...

In next input I failed to make a keyboard macro due to this "feature" of
emacs.
