Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

When displaying some variables (inside a generic) I get a huge list
of IDENTICAL items...

Does it only happen when you run gdb in Emacs (via M-x gdb),
or also when you run gdb from the shell in a terminal?
