bug#962: 23.0.60; Crash in bootstrapping

From: Richard M. Stallman
Subject: bug#962: 23.0.60; Crash in bootstrapping
Date: Thu, 11 Sep 2008 13:07:53 -0400

Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

On Debian, with sources fetched at 07:10 EDT, bootstrapping
crashes trying to compile bytecomp.el. I ran bootstrap-emacs
under GDB with no arguments; it crashed in malloc_set_state.

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/home/rms/emacs-cvs/etc/DEBUG for instructions.

In GNU Emacs 23.0.60.6 (mipsel-unknown-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.12.11)
 of 2008-09-10 on lemote-menglan

'mipsel-unknown-linux-gnu' 'build_alias=mipsel-unknown-linux-gnu'
