bug#1216: 23.0.60; manual does not document "-t" and "-c" option to emac

From: Gregor Zattler
Subject: bug#1216: 23.0.60; manual does not document "-t" and "-c" option to emacsclient; --daemon initial option not mentioned in manuals chapter on emacs server

--text follows this line--

Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

This bug report is about the documentation:

1. The manual does not document "-t" and "-c" option to
emacsclient. This especially important as visiting a file
with emacsclient connecting to an emacs daemon *without* ether
of the "-t"/"-c" options does not work any more (only shows
"Waiting for emacs..."). Using X11 "-t" uses a terminal
emulators window (xterm for instance), "-c" creates a frame.
On the console both options use the console to show the buffer.

2. The manual does not document the --daemon initial option in the
chapter documenting the use of emacs server

3. The manual does not document the fact that starting emacs with
--daemon finally helps all those users who want to get rid of the
otherwise ever present *scratch* buffer (start emacs as daemon,
use emacsclient under X to visit a file, server-edit: the whole
frame vanishes instead of presenting/annoing you with the
   *scratch* buffer)

Perhaps this helps in improving the manual.

Thank you very much for emacs and the awesome --daemon option,
Gregor

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/share/emacs/23.0.60/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
