I am using a ThinkPad X60 and whenever I press caps lock a small window pops up at the bottom right of the screen to tell me so.Can you find out what is the application that displays this small window?
While trying to figure this problem out (which I have experienced for months), I seem to have fixed it. Don't know exactly what I did, but the most likely suspect is this:
1. Start ThinkPad Keyboard Customizer Utility 2. Options... 3. Check Disable Keyboard Customizer 4. OK 5. Close 6. Start ThinkPad Keyboard Customizer Utility 7. Options... 8. Uncheck Disable Keyboard Customizer 9. OK 10. Close I am asking what is causing the pop-up for future reference here: http://forums.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=74951Since the problem now seems to be fixed, it seems you can mark this bug invalid. Sorry about the inconvenience.
