bug#4443: ERC gets freezed, Emacs 23

[Mario Castelán Castro]

I start emacs with -Q and then use M-x erc to enter as marioxcc but
was alredy taked by another instance of emacs so it use marioxcc`,
then i type "/whois marioxcc" and click in my ip, emacs gets freezed,
i press C-g and this is the Backtrace:
