bug#7794: 24.0.50; Can't display SVG files

From: nyc4bos
Subject: bug#7794: 24.0.50; Can't display SVG files
Date: Wed, 05 Jan 2011 18:29:22 -0500

Hi,

It appears that I cannot display SVG files with the Windows version
of Emacs.

I retrieved the librsvg-2-2.dll file from:

http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/librsvg/2.32/librsvg_2.32.1-1_win32.zip

and placed the DLL in e:\emacs-24.0.50\bin\

Visiting a SVG file (`find-file'), I see in the *Message* buffer:

Using vacuous schema
Type C-c C-c to view the image as an image.
Cannot display image: (Invalid image type `svg')

The image type is defined as:

dynamic-library-alist is a variable defined in `C source code'.
Its value is shown below.

Value: ((xpm "libxpm.dll" "xpm4.dll" "libXpm-nox4.dll")
 (png "libpng14-14.dll" "libpng14.dll")
 (jpeg "jpeg62.dll" "libjpeg.dll" "jpeg-62.dll" "jpeg.dll")
 (tiff "libtiff3.dll" "libtiff.dll")
 (gif "giflib4.dll" "libungif4.dll" "libungif.dll")
 (svg "librsvg-2-2.dll")
 (gdk-pixbuf "libgdk_pixbuf-2.0-0.dll")
 (glib "libglib-2.0-0.dll")
 (gobject "libgobject-2.0-0.dll"))

This Windows Emacs binary was graciously built by Sean Sieger on
Mon, 03 Jan 2011 and is at http://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/windows/

Is there any additional steps or necessary files he needs in
order to build Emacs with SVG support?

Thanks.
