bug#8884: 24.0.50; temacs crashes and dumps core when configured --with-wide-int

I removed all optimisation CFLAGS ("-g -H -pipe -fPIC -O0" were left),  
even -fPIC, and all LDFLAGS. The result is always the same, crash and  
core dump:
