bug#9182: 24.0.50; built in TLS

[emacs user]

hi,

Using the VM package for reading mail, and the built in emacs tls
support, I am getting the following error message when retrieving mail:

Fatal error: A TLS packet with unexpected length was received.

Emacs does not crash and depending on the Mac OS X mail retrieval is
either interrupted or not...  I am attaching the imap session log from
vm in
case that's helpful.
