I tried: mkdir -p /proj/foo/bar touch /proj/foo/bar/qux emacs -Q C-x d /proj/foo/bar RET Please can you give a recipe starting from emacs -Q? > In GNU Emacs 24.0.94.1 (x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.10.4)
