Under perl-mode,
when transient-mark-mode is ON,
C-M-h should highlight the sub under question.
But that is not happening.
In GNU Emacs 24.3.50.4 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.20.1)
of 2013-10-30 on debian-6.05
