bug#17483: 24.4.50; Emacs cannot display some gif images correctly under dark background

This is a well-known optical illusion: the same gray shade looks more
bright on a darker background.  If you use some tool that shows color
pixels at certain screen location, you will see that the pixels are
exactly identical to what you get on the default (light) background.

There's no bug here.
