I am admittedly not a power user of emacs bugs so I couldn't determine whether a bug has been filed against emacsclient for this yet, but
here is the bug:

Environment and how to duplicate:

Ubuntu 14.04 base install with the following default emacs packages install
emacs
emacs-goodies-el
emacs24
emacs24-bin-common
emacs24-common
emacs24-common-non-dfsg
emacsen-common

/usr/bin/emacsclient tmp.c
M-x outline-minor-mode

# The outline menu shows up and I can use it.

Now if I do

M-x server-start

#
# The outline menu no longer works.
#

This same problem also occurs for

Latex Menu and GNU Global ( ggtags-mode ).

This appears to be a bug since these menus once previously worked.
