Can I document this in the manual already? ;-)

IOW, will this be in time for Emacs 25.1?

(When search commands are invoked from the menu bar, we should
probably pop up a search dialog similar to what other applications do,
instead of offering half a dozen different commands from the menus.
But that's definitely not for 25.1.)
