Thank you for replying, Eli. No, I have not reported it to the Evil Mode 
developers yet. I am not familiar with the structure of the Emacs developer 
community, I am afraid. I used the built-in bug report function in Emacs.

However, based on the implied suggestion in your reply I found emacs-evil on 
GitHub and I have just posted a bug report, including a screenshot, there:
