So, there's no iostream.h on your system. Find the package containing
this file, and install it. Probably something like libstdc++-devel.
I think INSTALL.txt says you should install this, please check INSTALL.txt
for other requirements.

It says:
checking for stepmake... ./stepmake (${prefix}/share/stepmake not found)
so it found ./stepmake. Maybe this message should be clearer.
