Instrument name position bug

Why are the instrument names printed between the
left bracket and the clef symbol on the top score line
on page two of input/test/orchesterscore.ly? I've tried 
to compare to coriolan-margin.ly which does work correctly
and even if I use exactly the same \paper declarations I still
get the same erronous result. 
The instrumentScriptPadding and instrScriptPadding properties
are never used, right?

Can someone understand what's going on?
