ly2dvi problem

Hi,

I just installed lilypond 1.3.110 without problems.  This was on a Red Hat
6.2 Linux system.  I have more recent versions of guile and python than you
recommend (python 2.0 and guile 1.4) but otherwise the system is pretty
standard.  When I try to run ly2dvi on any .ly file, it bombs with this
message:

% ly2dvi menuet.ly 
ly2dvi (GNU LilyPond) 1.3.110
executing: lilypond  menuet.ly 2>&1
GNU LilyPond 1.3.110.
Now processing: `menuet.ly'
Parsing...ERROR: Unbound variable: default-script-alist
ly2dvi: LilyPond failed: lilypond  menuet.ly 2>&1


I can find default-script-alist in lily.scm and script.scm but I don't know
what's wrong.  I also couldn't find anything in the bug reports.  Any
ideas?  It sounds pretty trivial.
