Just go to the Lilypond WWW page, http://www.lilypond.org
and scroll down to the section on mailing lists. 
I'd suggest you subscribe to help-gnu-music or gnu-music-discuss
(or both). You may also want to search the old mails, follow
the link to "Very Frequently Asked Questions" to find the 
the searchable mail archives. 

When you send questions, don't forget to mention which Lilypond
version you are using and on which platform.
