In the CVS version of PSPP, internationalisation is partially
supported. There shouldn't be any problem writing string variables
with UTF-8 (or any other character set). However, creating variable
names, value labels or variable labels with non-ascii character names
is more problematic. If this is important for you, then I suggest
that you file it as a wish list bug in at
