Follow-up Comment #6:

This is acknowledged as a bug in Gtk+ and has been fixed upstream.
I don't think there is any way that we can avoid it, or work around it, except
to mention that if it causes problems to users they should upgrade Gtk to
version 3.15.5 or later.

So ... Closing as "Not our problem!"
