A have a tar and gzipped file of more than 2 Gigabytes:
address@hidden /mio]$ ls -l niu.tgz
-rw-r--r-- 1 fompi fompi 2.1G Nov 24 09:40 niu.tgz
-------------------------------------
I have tryed to gunzip; but...
address@hidden /mio]$ gzip -d niu.tgz
gzip: niu.tar: File too large
----------------------------------
And the version of gzip is this; using Debian Potato 2.2
address@hidden /mio]$ gzip -V
gzip 1.2.4 (18 Aug 93)
Compilation options:
DIRENT UTIME STDC_HEADERS HAVE_UNISTD_H ASMV
