Bug in binutils strip 2.10.1 on aix 4.2.0 ppc?

Hello,

I recently comed gcc 2.95.2, flex 2.5.4, bison 3.78.1, sed 3.02 
and binutils 2.10.1 on AIX 4.2.0 on a PowerPC processor, and it
seems as if strip is unable to strip the output of the new
gcc compiler. The error I get is the following:

./strip ../../cosmos/generic/arch/ibm6_4.2/bin/cosmosid
