GNU tar

Hello,
Hope this finds you well.
I've been useing tar for while on a UNIX / Solaris system.

I've been trying to install a .tar of ZOPE
The installation instructions say I need to use GNU tar
to avoid consistent "checksum errors".

Now I've been to your site but can find NO way to download
GNU tar.  WHo's a brother got to know, where's a brother 
got to go to download GNU tar.

Once he gets there how does he go about installing it on a
UNIX system or is this an impossibility.
