It's not being too picky.  POSIX says that you cannot mix numbered
conversion specifications (e.g. %2$c) and unnumbered ones (e.g. %s).

Perhaps the diagnostic message could be improved (sorry, my French is
almost nonexistent), but the fact that a diagnostic is generated is
correct.
