Non-BFD targets are suffering some bit-rot.
gas/ChangeLog
* as.c (parse_args <OPTION_VERSION>): Use VERSION is
BFD_VERSION_STRING unavailable.
* config/tc-i386.c (INLINE): Define (for non-BFD assembler).
