The only documentation that mentions a //TRANSLIT suffix is the iconv
documentation. But here you are using gettext, and the gettext
documentation (section "Filling in the Header Entry") clearly
specifies which values are allowed as a Content-Type, and similarly
the encoding name you specify for a locale or as --to-code shouldn't
contain slashes.
