Hi,

gettext-0.11.4 compiled on 5 platforms in a stow environment with
    ./configure \
    --prefix=${SHOP_STOW}/${SHOP_PACKAGE} \
    --exec-prefix=${SHOP_STOW}/${SHOP_PACKAGE}/${SHOP_CONFIG} \
    --with-included-gettext \
    --with-libiconv-prefix \
    --with-gnu-ld \
    --enable-shared \
    --enable-static
(with libiconv 1.8)
