In
tar (GNU tar) 1.13.25
from debian sid (among others0 I can't create a file which contains a color.
For instance:
address@hidden:Desktop$tar cf one:two *
rsh: one: Name or service not known
tar: one\:two: Cannot open: Input/output error
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
I tried verious version forms of escaping the colon, but I could not find any
way to
convince tar to create the file for me.
I understand the extra meaning of the colon, but tar should be able to use a
file
without starting rsh, since touch/ls/mv etc do use a file with a color
correctly.
