I've noticed a problem with GNU strip on HP-UX libraries. When you GNU
strip a shared library, and then run ldd against the stripped lib, the
lddstub command (which is called by ldd) coredumps. While this is
obviously a bug with HPUX's ldd (I've filed bug report #3201920771 with
them on it -- the engineer at HP was able to replicate the problem), it
may also be indicative of a problem with GNU strip. Once we get a fixed
version of ldd we may be able to get more info, but for now, I figured
I'd go ahead and report the bug in case other people hit the problem.
Please let me know if you need further info.
