Hello! I am trying to build and install grep 2.5 (2.5.1 as well) on Sun Solaris 2.6 (and 2.8 as well). Configure fails to detect msgfmt (I have it in /bin/msgfmt) and fail to generate .mo files from .po files. <<SNIP of configure>> checking whether included gettext is requested... no checking for libintl.h...
