GNU strings 2.14 20030612

I have compiled binutils-2.14 on Solaris 2.6 (SUN-SPARC Ultra5,)
Solaris8 (SUN-SPARC E250,) and Solaris9 (SUN-SPARC Ultra60.) None of the
'strings' on any system I tried, seem to function properly.

When using the -t (o, x or d) option to print the location of the string,
the only output in the offset field is a '0' (zero)
