GNU tasklist item still needed?

Ahoy!

There's an item in the GNU task list at
http://savannah.gnu.org/people/viewjob.php?group_id=3972&job_id=201
that asks for a volunteer to help "Add a few features to GNU diff,
such as handling large input files without reading entire files into
core."  This item has been on the task list for quite a while so I
thought I'd check to see if it's still relevant.  Do you still need
someone to work on this or should we take it off the list?
