The created de.po is most certainly correct. The error about
NoClassDefFoundError is harmless, but nevertheless it should not happen if
you install GNU gettext from source; therefore I assume it's a packaging bug
(namely, gettext.jar is not installed in the right place). You may complain
to your package distributor.
